Eightysixed is now on Thrall (NA) Horde! Blizzard completed the Guild Server Migration on Aug. 20th 2022.
Detailed Explanation:
The Administrators of Eightysixed have discussed the future of the guild primarily focusing on raiding in #🌎world-of-warcraft Dragonflight.
After talking about the challenges over the years with the game and our server. We began reviewing the prospects on Stormscale (and the several connected realms: Rivendare, Firetree, Drak'tharon, Malorne, Spirestone, Frostwolf and Vashj), and things looked very bleak. While in discord we discussed in what ways we felt Stormscale (& co) were not advantageous for us/our niche.
Looking on WoWProgress: we found 12 guilds at this point in the expansion have entered mythic content.
Trying to get rough population numbers for our server we found https://wowanalytica.com/statistics/region/us which reports Stormscale (and its connected realms) is listed as a High population server, which is misleading. If look at it by percentage of users in North America it is only 0.15%. To provide some more context looking at the most populated server Area 52 is 7.15% of the North American Population.
Taking this information into account we decided that any server over 1% of the NA user base would be a healthy move as this would be at a minimum 10x the number of available players. We then filtered the list to remove RP Servers, Low (<50%) Horde Pop Servers, in addition to servers we have had recurring negative Cross realm experiences with.
This narrowed down the list to 12 possible candidates. All of which are not locked and allow transfers to them. We ultimately decided on Thrall which has a horde population of 98.06% and a healthy pool of 582 Guilds with an average of 98 members making up 3.99% of the NA player base. This means the population on the server is roughly 27x as large as our current pool of players.
We hope everyone is able to migrate with us, also worth noting that cross realm and faction activities are an options too in the future if you or your alts are not able to come, so please feel free to stay in this discord even if you do not migrate with us.
Note the roster in Thrall will build slowly as there is no urgency to migrate quickly and expect increased activity and recruiting to begin once 10.0 goes live. If you would like an invite on Thrall @Megalithe#9863 in discord or in the guild discord via #🌎world-of-warcraft for an invite.
Eightysixed of Stormscale still exists in game, but will not persist in activities. I've updated the ingame MotD and recruitment info to reflect our migration.

Guidelines for those migrating:
If you would like to move with the guild here are some recommendations:
- Create temp toons with your desired names NOW on Thrall NA - do NOT save other members names as it can end up soft locking the name!!!
- Evaluate which characters you will actively play in Dragonflight and wish to be involved in guild content.
- Use your character boost on the new server on a new toon.
- Leveling will be much faster in 10.0!
- Consider purchasing 1-5 character transfers from the Blizzard store. It is advisable to wait until closer to the content patch as this service will go on sale around that time. https://us.shop.battle.net/en-us/product/world-of-warcraft-service-character-transfer
- Once ready delete any temp toons after your characters are migrated to unpark the name and set your transferred toon immediately to the desired name. AGAIN please do NOT park other members names as it can end up soft locking them from others for Extensive periods of time.
NOTE you do not need to migrate all toons as we can invite characters via cross realm friends lists.
